Animal Actors on Location - a Hidden Gem at Universal Orlando

Did you know that all of the stars in Universal Orlando’s show Animal Actors on Location are rescues?  I’ve always enjoyed this show and knowing that fact makes me love it even more.  So what should you expect at this fun show?  Glad you asked...

Hollywood's favorite feature creatures are ready for their close-ups in a show that's paws-itively wild. Here's your chance to see some of the most talented animal actors perform in a hilarious mix of video segments, live skits and audience interactions. 

Featuring a menagerie of vibrant birds, mischievous pups, agile cats and more, this special showcase is a hoot for the whole family.

Not only will you laugh along, you'll also learn a bit about how these clever creatures are trained.

This is the famous Marley from the movie Marley and Me!

The 20-minute run time allows kids and adults alike to rest their legs in a comfortable, covered outdoor amphitheater.  This show is currently offered 4 times a day - so be sure to check showtimes for your visit and plan to catch this one!

My boys were too embarrassed to let me go up to the stage with the other people (ok, all the other kids) to take pics but you can do that!  Don’t miss your chance to get a photo with some of the furry stars!

Hear Me Out... It's a Great Time to Plan Your Next Disney Trip!!!

I know that planning a trip right now may seem like a bad idea. With the parks being closed and no open date in sight, you’d be nuts to book a trip, right?

WRONG!

It’s actually a wonderful time to get your trip reserved. Here are a few reasons why:

1 - Fall and Winter are AMAZING times to head to Florida. The weather is perfect and you have the option of enjoying the Halloween and Christmas parties and decorations. And I can’t imagine anyone who won’t NEED a vacation away from their homes when this madness is over!

2 - There is NO risk of you losing your money. It takes a $200-$250 deposit (depending on Disney or Universal) to hold your vacation package. That money is FULLY refundable up to 30 days prior to your trip. Currently, it’s refundable up to 7 days prior to your trip but I’m going to believe the world will be back to normal soon. And you can also change your plans (of course depending on availability) so get something booked and we can modify it if needed.

3 - Fall and winter are typically pretty busy times at the parks. So if you think there’s even a slim chance you’ll travel, let’s get you booked. You don’t want to be scrambling around for a resort at the last minute when things open up.

4 - Waiting to see if Disney or Universal announce any offers or specials for future travel? Let’s hope they do! But don’t worry - if you have a trip booked and a special is announced, you can bet I’m on the phone to see if your trip is eligible for the discount. And I’ve usually taken care of it before my guests even know it’s possible!

5 - Probably the best reason to have a trip booked right now is that it gives you something to look forward to. Maybe just don’t mention it to the kids yet just in case things don’t get better soon. But I’m praying that they will. AND SOON!!

Sprinkle some MAGIC into your daily lives!

Can’t make it to Disney World or Universal Studios anytime soon? When it’s a long time between trips (or really even a few days), I start to miss my Happy Places. To make it bearable, I like to sprinkle magic into my daily life. Often times you’ll see my with my Mickey hat/shirt/necklace or drinking from my awesome new Harry Potter tumbler while I’m out.

I love to listen to Disney music, watch movies, and reminisce over the pictures that I have taken from all of my Disney & Universal trips.

One of the most fun things to keep the magic alive at home is to incorporate the fun into parties that you’re having! Before my kids were too old to tell me they didn’t want these AWESOME parties, I had a great time planning and throwing some fun Disney/Universal themed parties and wearing matching Halloween costumes!

All Aboard the Hogwarts Express!!

Are you a Muggle? Sadly, I am too. But guess what? Even Muggles can ride the Hogwarts Express! I don’t know about you, but anytime I read a Harry Potter book or see a movie, I wish I was able to be a part of that world. And while I can’t change the fact that you’re a Muggle, I can help you experience the magic of the Hogwarts Express.

First off, the Hogwarts Express is only at Universal Orlando. It runs between the King’s Cross Station in the London area of Universal Studios Florida (on platform 9 3/4 of course) and Hogsmeade station in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. ** IMPORTANT - To board the train, you will need a park-to-park ticket.

This ticket will allow you unlimited rides on the train as you go back and forth between the two parks. And don’t assume just because you rode the train one way that it’s the same on the return trip - it’s not! So be sure to ride both ways. The ride takes around 4 minutes each way.

The train compartments hold up to 8 passengers so if your group is larger you’ll be split up. Take a seat and along the way you’ll see a lot of familiar Harry Potter landmarks and friends out of the window. (It’s actually a video but looks pretty darn realistic).

While you can’t roam the aisles of the train, you can see silhouettes of happenings in the aisles - watch out for Dementors!!! You’ll also hear audio of what’s happening out there so pay attention.

A really fun feature is walking through King’s Cross Station and passing through the wall into Platform 9 3/4. Lag back a bit from your party so that you can get a picture of those ahead of you as they walk through the "wall" forming the entrance. Clueless people will try to push past you so hold your ground!!

Oklahoma is OK, but the other states are great too!!

My Oklahoma peeps pretty much have all heard about my Disney and Universal trip planning services and many have taken advantage of this FREE service. But I often hear (after the fact) that someone wished they could have used my services, but they don’t live near me so assumed that I couldn’t help them. No! Not true!!

Although I would love to visit in person with all of my clients, that’s not always possible even when they are local. We all have busy lives and sometimes schedules don’t work out. The thing is, it’s totally possible to plan and book the whole trip over the phone! I spend a lot of time calling, texting, emailing and facebook messaging my clients while we’re in the planning and booking phase.

Once it nears your trip, I’ll mail you a packet with any paperwork that you need to have. Disney will mail your MagicBands and Magical Express luggage tags.
